Stanford Hostel is an historic
farmhouse built in 1843
 by George Stanford,
one of the earliest European settlers
in the Western Reserve.

 

Purchased by
 the U.S. National Park Service in 1978,
the house has been carefully restored by
the National Park Service and the
Northeast Ohio Council (NOC) of HI-USA
through the generosity of
The Cleveland Foundation
The George Gund Foundation
and the NOC volunteers.
Stanford Hostel opened its doors in 1986
to visitors from around the world.
